Infinite loop if target Kafka topic doesn't exist anymore

  • Version: 7.9.2
  • Operating System: Ubuntu 20.04
  • Discuss Forum URL: https://discuss.elastic.co/t/filebeat-log-gets-flooded-if-no-kafka-topic-is-available/314702
  • Steps to Reproduce:
    • setup a Kafka cluster with a topic
    • disable topic creation for 3rd party
    • send data from Filebeat
    • delete the topic
    • check Filebeat logs
