Windows binaries no longer stripped since 8.2.0
Ever since 8.2.0, Windows binaries have grown by 20-30 MB in size (both, xpack and oss variants - I checked winlogbeat and filebeat).
I've determined the cause to be a bunch of discardable PE sections with names like /4, /19, etc. These don't only take up unnecessary space, they are also not compressible because they contain deflated data.
- Was there a reason for this change, or did it happen accidentally while refactoring CI?
- Can stripping be enabled once again so we can save disk space and bandwidth?
