spam headers being added to outgoing email when this extension is installed

Describe the issue

When sending email with this extension installed, spam headers are being injected into my outgoing emails. I installed and uninstalled it several times from the link at the official Safari extension store, and the headers being added only when this extension is installed was a consistent behavior.

I don't have any technical followup (I just did user-level testing, not packet checking, etc), but thought you should know.

I'm not the maintainer but when you say

spam headers are being injected into my outgoing emails.

I don't think there's enough information here to meaningfully understand the issue.

  • What email provider?
  • What spam headers?
  • Have you tested any other ad blockers?

It's just a browser extension, I'm almost 100% certain that email headers from a web email client would be generated server side, so I don't think there would be a way for a browser extension to influence them. It's possible that your email provider is using a bot detection script on the client side which is being blocked, and as a result they are adding spam headers to your emails.
