[Feature] Add Windows Server 2025 as supported AMI type in eksctl
What feature/behavior/change do you want?
Add support for Windows Server 2025 as a supported AMI type in eksctl. Once Windows Server 2025 Optimized AMIs are released, eksctl should be able to launch them as worker nodes.
Why do you want this feature?
I am from the EKS Windows team and am raising this issue for feature planning purposes. Our team has the code changes ready and will submit a PR soon. I would like to understand the expectations regarding the PR review, merge, and release process. Once the PR is submitted, what is the typical timeframe for review, approval, merge, and release of these changes?
Hello KlwntSingh  Thank you for opening an issue in eksctl project. The team will review the issue and aim to respond within 1-5 business days. Meanwhile, please read about the Contribution and Code of Conduct guidelines here. You can find out more information about eksctl on our website
Hi @KlwntSingh , thanks for raising this issue! Once the PR is open, we should be able to review within 3 to 5 business days. If there are no major issues we can merge and include the change in the next release. Releases are typically published about once per month, but we can adjust the tempo if needed.
