Crafts that displace water leave air pockets when piloted

Describe the bug A ship that has an enclosed hull that displaces water leave air pockets behind when released and repiloted.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Pilot a seafaring ship that has an air cavity below water level
2. Move ship

Expected behavior Seafaring ships should not leave air pockets. (this also happens with submarines)

Is this when you rotate?

@TomLewis I would have written that as one of the steps to reproduce.

This happens on pilot then move if there's any air in the ship under water level.

Each air pocket in the screenshot was from releasing, piloting, and simply moving. The orientation of the air pockets also would change had I been rotating.
