People tend to find it quite confusing and the underlying data model is pretty bad. Would be better to have sliders for a range of standard frequencies. Also use the other libBASS multiband equalizer plugin that allows for multiple bands on a single instance instead of making one EQ instance for each "dot".

You have always defined the equaliser as fully parametric. Care to explain how the values can be modified for Q, gain and band?

Looking at what you write here, I suspect the equaliser has never been parametric but I hope to be wrong.
