Songs start at incorrect time in car

In the car.. if you were playing a song before connecting via USB and lets say that song was at 0:45 before connecting. When you plug it in the song will start at :45 as expected. However any song you choose after that (while connected via USB) will also jump and start at :45. It's been like this for a few years.
