There is a newish API for "Subscribing to account activity": https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/accounts-and-users/subscribe-account-activity/overview

So far I'm happy just issuing my own requests for that, but I figured a 'let you know' / 'tracking issue' wouldn't go amiss.

@passcod Do you have any public code showing how you interface with the Twitter account_activity API? I'm also interested in this functionality. I can probably roll my own solution, but I'd be happier to build on existing work.

I since scrapped that and have not rewritten it again, so no currently working code to show, sorry!
