Mods are causing the tournament games to fail

I recently added the Server Connector and the Modify Party Window mod files, to help me out in the online servers. They are working in the newer versions, but the problem which is occuring is that, these plugins are getting detected as, modifying the tournament files, and thus, the game fails everytime i play the tournaments. The only option left is to remove the files, when playing tournaments, and then copy paste them back whenever im playing in the online servers. Please do something about this, Many people are facing such problems, even though they have never modified the bombsquad game to play tournaments.

Did you try disabling the plugins from Settings>Advanced? If the problem still persists then maybe the solution could be to disable the tournament window when any plugin is enabled.

Unfortunately this is a known issue. 1.5 is a bit stricter than 1.4 was in that it will disable tourneys if any code is found that differs from the default distribution.

Currently the workaround for this would be to temporarily move or rename your mods folder when you want to play tournaments. Un-checking the plugins isn't enough; just the fact that the files exist will cause the game to flag itself as 'modified'.

I'm thinking of adding an 'ignore mods folder' check-box in advanced settings which would would let mod-users play tournaments without having to manually move their mods back and forth. Maybe I will try to do that today.

Also, I am still working towards the goal of running all tournaments on my own servers (once I can do that without introducing lag). At that point then I can rip out all of the modification/root-detection stuff since it won't matter what people do with their own devices. I can't wait for that day to arrive 😅
