Investigate different connection options for exposed ports

We're continuously getting issues with corporate VPN's blocking or restricting access to arbitrary ports such as 8080.

Concretely, in the exercise with port-forwarding corporate edge installation is messing with DNS resolution. Firefox worked though, so we may need to do some further documentation.
