what is the meaning of "M" in file new_search.py

In the file new_search.py, the first stage of M is equal to 100 and in the second stage is equal to 10, so what does M mean? When I searched for Llama 8B, I couldn't find the results in the second stage, but I could find the results by assigning M to 100.

M is just a parameter for ensuring the correctness of sequential execution in one stream, which is called "big-M formulations". So M should be large enough in this case, it should be work when we use M=10 here cause the range of time would not exceed this value, you could dive into it and find why it doesn't work initially.
