Is sky130A_mr.drc intended for interactive DRC checking in klayout?

I'm looking to use klayout as an interactive DRC checker. The open_pdks script is unsupported (and not working for me). The sky130A_mr.drc script in this repo seems to be used by klayout in batch mode. However, when I try to run it through the GUI macro editor, I get a bunch of warnings and no markers:
