GUI Slide Editor

I would love to roll this out in place of powerpoint slideshows running on a TV. However, it seems that there's only the HTML-like layout definitions, not any graphical editors.

It would be great to see a canvas-based graphical slide editor as an option.

This is a feature I have considered implementing and I understand why it would be very useful for some users. A GUI editor would take a considerable amount of effort though, so if I decided to implement something like that it certainly wouldn't happen in a short amount of time. That said, I may well create a GUI editor at some point but at this time I can't guarantee anything.

I would like to note integrate an already built one would be a posibility, something like grapesjs which has the same license could be a great idea. I actually experimented a bit with it, the only "problem" I see is that it's more focused on making webpages and newsletters with scroll instead of fixed size screens.

@unquietwiki Thanks for the suggestion! I need to think about the best way to implement a GUI slide editor a bit more. I have even thought of phasing out the special markup completely and replacing it with a graphical slide editor + optional HTML/JS/CSS editing for more advanced users. We'll see what I end up doing.

I would also love to see this implemented! Maybe even just a simplified version, where instead of the markup you just have the media upload button.
