According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MessagePad the MessagePad was released 1993-08-02. Corrected this in the pull request.

Hi, well, "MessagePad" was a series of models, i just put up the latest one; on the Wikipedia page detailed under https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MessagePad#Newton_device_models. Which is where i got the introduce datum of. A second source for that is https://web.archive.org/web/20170410051242/https://www.msu.edu/~luckie/newtgal.htm . The disccontinuation date is from https://www.macrumors.com/2023/02/27/apple-discontinued-the-newton-25-years-ago-today/, i.e. feb 27 1998. So the 2100 had a market life of just under 4 months, sadly. That discontinuation date is valid for all other not already discontinued messagepads, i guess.

Best regards.

Hi, or you keep the dates and rename the entry to "Newton MessagePad series" or some such. Best regards.

Hi, ok sorry. I only skimmed the Wikipedia article and thought there was a transposed number in the date.

What do you think makes the most sense? To make the series as an entry or the 2100? I am completely free. I would just implement what you think makes the most sense.

As i said, i'd be Ok with that; it would be the least hassle for now. Maybe together with a link to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MessagePad#Newton_device_models for now. Should somebody feel the itch sometime, that one could start more entries to complete it. There are 8 models by Apple alone to keep it in "discontinued by Apple". Thanks for your PM btw, hope it's Ok i respond this way. Best regards.

Hi

hope it's Ok i respond this way. That's perfectly ok. This area is precisely for discussion and collaboration. Thanks for that.

So, I've now adjusted the title (and the description) so that it's about the series (see https://github.com/edvinlinden/killedby.tech/pull/101/commits/f7910fac3ab43d6249eaa74a9b3242ccf097d8f9). If someone actually sees the need to list every single model, one can still do that.

Maybe @edvinlinden can get back to us and tell us what philosophy would best fit the site/repo (complete detailed completeness or summarized overview).

Best regards Jonas
