Thanks for your inquiry.

I have another project that takes 100% of my productive time, so I won't be able to make any change to the current library.

However, if you want to work on it, feel free to open a Pull Request and I'll be more than happy to release a new version.

No problem, I am also consumed at the moment with other projects. Might come back to it in the future though, MIDI 2.0 is a really huge update that would be awesome to incorporate into Raspberry Pi instruments running python scripts!
