Thanks for the tip, same issue here. It seems just re-running `autoreconf -i` is enough. Not sure it's necessary to also run `aclocal` manually.
Was able to compile by replacing 1.15 with 1.16.1 in `aclocal.m4` and `configure` and then running `automake-1.16`.
