Looks like quarkusio/quarkus#28684 was also needed for this.

For me this then raises the question: should we re-write the UI using something more modern (like React)? I thought I saw something internally where someone had done that already....

I'm re-opening this because I feel like we should re-evaluate this conversation @cescoffier / @agoncal , especially since the [super-heroes workshop is now using Quinoa](quarkusio/quarkus-workshops#230)...
