completed second lab notebook and added a parallelization implementation to community_contributions/abali/1_foundations

Hey @abali2509 - it seems that this PR includes changes to a file outside community_contributions.. would you be able to update the PR so that only files in community_contributions are changed, please? Thanks so much Ed

I've tried to revert all changes to foundations/1_lab1.ipynb - however file is still showing in diff: image I've opened it and it's like for like what's in main. Thanks Ed
