We've been patching some issues related to this in tinerator - are you planning on migrating to shapely 2 at some point for WW? Or switching to a different package?

I think the plan is to swap to both shapely 2 and geopandas data frames at the same time. And hopefully also ditch a lot of the source managers in favor of an official USGS package as well. But work on this hasn't really begun yet.
