multigeiger voltage measurements

Open ThomasWaldmann opened this issue 5 years ago • 2 comments

Parts:

  • 2x multigeiger v1.4 board, si22g tube, correct diodes
  • 1x multigeiger v1.4 board, lnd712 tube, correct diodes (addtl. 100v zener)
  • DVM 10MOhm inner resistance (also measured as 10MOhm)
  • 96MOhm (measured, made with serial 9x10MOhm addtl. resistor)

Measurement arrangement:

Vtube
 |
96M (serial 9x 10MOhm)
 |
10M (DVM inner resistance)
 |
GND

Results:

  • 371V for Si22G (plateau: 350-475V, recommended 400V)
  • 458V for LND712 (plateau: 450-650V, recommended 500V)

Remark: 106MOhm load on the voltage source, thus the measured voltage might be lower than what's there without that addtl. load.

Note: if somebody has a much higher resistance (and still relatively precise) equipment available, it would be interesting to repeat the measurement with that.

@rexfue can you measure this more precisely / with less load?
