Allow comments to refer to edges

Comment nodes can currently only be connected to nodes. However, users also often need to add comments to edges. Currently, this is done by adding more labels to an edge. This interferes somewhat with how we usually place and render labels. Think about a proper concept regarding how edge comments can be properly supported.
