Runes on startup

When starting eclipse, I regularly get this screen of runes grafik

Restarting does not help, instead I need to start a build and then I need to scroll through the file until the error goes away.

can you copy/paste the characters? or is it only drawn wrong?

The copy-paste copies exactly the right text. It looks like something is drawn wrong - indeed.

Interestingly, only JavaDoc-Comments and braces are affected, the "normal code" gets rendered correctly pretty quickly. When clicking into a line, sometimes it suddenly turns into the correct display...

how peculiar!

if its only javadoc please document the exact comments that are rendered wrong
