eclipse glassfish 6.x integration with eclipse 2021 versions

Environment Details

  • GlassFish Version (and build number):6.2.3
  • JDK version:11.0.13
  • OS: windows11
  • Database: postgresql

Problem Description

There is no plugin available either in Marketplace or old places like Eclipse Sapphire: https://download.eclipse.org/sapphire/9.1.1/repository/

Glassfish : https://download.eclipse.org/glassfish-tools/1.0.1/repository/

Steps to reproduce

Impact of Issue

i want Eclipse GlassFish server to be configured in Eclipse:2021-06. Eclipse by default should have this as one of JEE servers in it's list

Have you tried Payara Tools???

it is working with payara2010-10

For now indeed Payara Tools (which is a fork of GlassFIsh tools that I refactored a bit and then changed all the IDs to Payara) should start GlassFish in Eclipse.

A dedicated GlassFish plug-in is definitely on the TODO list, but currently most efforts are spend on getting GlassFish 7 ready.
