@yongbosch which PAL (platform abstraction layer) is this ticket related to? I mean, do you target an ethernet interface (I assume so).

Also, I miss the documentation task in this issue's description - btw, I dared to correct the missing space in the task list "- [ ]"

@HansUweRempler Yes, ethernet is supposed to be inside. Lars and I are discussing on a solution of how to add it in.
