Intro too hardcore
I've had two people say that the intro is too hardcore.
[The intro is] way too hard-core, focused on language design.
The sales pitch here is what is the problem - the Ceylon team is selling why it is better than Java - well, not too many people care about that. Java works pretty well for its use cases.
Xavier Coulon adds:
Maybe you could provide a few ready-to-run examples that newbies (like me) could import and run in the IDE or from command-line ? I personally find it hard to start from scratch when I don't know anything about the language, so quickstarts would really help here.
Well, isn't that what the online code editor is for?
I'm guessing for slightly larger projects that run in the IDE.
@chochos's game of life is a good example.
