Having:

# .editorconfig

root = true

[*]
indent_style = space
indent_size = 2
tab_width = 2
end_of_line = lf
charset = utf-8
insert_final_newline = true
max_line_length = 120
trim_trailing_whitespace = true
// src/main/java/rixy/Rixy.java

package rixy;

public class Rixy {
public static void main(String[] args) {

}
}

I've got:

12:33:12: Executing 'editorconfigCheck'...

> Task :editorconfigCheck

and

12:34:13: Executing 'editorconfigFormat'...

> Task :editorconfigFormat

BUILD SUCCESSFUL in 140ms
1 actionable task: 1 executed
12:34:13: Execution finished 'editorconfigFormat'.

Java file remains not formatted.

Expectations:

  1. editorconfigCheck fails if files are not properly formatted
  2. editorconfigFormat formats files
