Can we remove the localName variants?
I think we should remove it. Should it be on the agenda of our next meeting?
If it is about language versions, then probably remove would be correct. However, two thoughts on this: 1) some languages have multiple ways to present the same person, e.g. transforming Russian names from cyrillic alphabeth to western can be made in many ways and all are correct. 2) If it is about geographical names, then could there some case where the same person (or more generic any object) is know with different names in different regions? For example in product names car names of the same product are different in different regions….
What you mention, @kimviljanen, is an excellent point. Unfortunately, the "localName" is not the solution, but we probably need to describe this. Searching for Пётр Ильи́ч Чайко́вский is, for me, very hard. I can't understand Russian; the English spelling is Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Pjotr Iljitsj Tsjajkovskij in Norway and Pjotr Iljitsch Tschaikowski in German. Sometimes even different traditions go even further, and variants can occur in the same language, like Пётр Germanized to Peter.
After much use of the delete button, it is time to add something.
We have this construction, like a paperclip, that can be used between any two instances of any class.

What if we make a subclass of this for linguistic relations?
