Rights
Hi, I was wondering if for the new EC+ version, there were any changes planned for the rights class?
As defined now, I think some inherited properties are irrelevant for some of the subclasses... (f.e. Disclaimer -> publicationEventsLeft only xsd:integer)
Also, I was wondering if the word "Restrictions" isn't somewhat misleading in "IPR Restrictions", since the description is simply stating that it "holds information on IP". I'm wondering if this shouldn't simply be called something like IntellectualPropertyRights?
In that respect, the class Copyright (to provide a copyright statement) should maybe be clearer if it is called CopyrightStatement or CopyrightNotice, while Copyright (which can connect a copyright holder to an asset) should rather be a subclass of IntellectualPropertyRights, next to maybe NeighbouringRights?
Anyhow, maybe I'm misunderstanding the intended use of some of the Rights classes...
Hi @RendersKoen , thank you for your input on the modelling of rights. We consider this an important part of EBUCorePlus, however we haven't had the resources to review and remodel it since the merge of EBUCore and CCDM, i.e. since V1.0. If you can add more observations and questions or even proposals to this issue, we're happy to consider them in a future release. Our priority is currently to work on the #378 issue for release V2.0 (summer/fall 2025). Rights will most probably be a topic for V2.x.
