Thanks @yvanlebras this part of metadata mapping is not well maintained, unless it was experimental and working well. You may have a look tho the test case i did at https://github.com/eblondel/geometa/blob/master/tests/testthat/test_geometa_mapping.R

Feel free to add on this test, or add extra unit tests to makes sure the suggested mapping improvements work well
