[FEATURE REQUEST] - Disable Alternative Game Launcher Selection
Essentially this request boils down to the fact that I will not use the Epic Game Store and want to be able to just select the game and have it default to Steam rather than needing two extra clicks whenever I select a game that comes from multiple game stores. Maybe an option to remember store selection on a game by game basis
I don’t think this is a particularly great idea.
It solves your individual use case of removing two button clicks, but what about this scenario:
- Someone owns the game on EGS
- They set that as the default platform for the game
- They later buy the game on Steam
- The manager will continue to launch via EGS
How do they solve that?
- Is that buried in settings? Seems to annoy people with how full the settings are anyway
- Button on the game selection screen? Clutter 99% of the time
Now something much more reasonable in my opinion is to just simply pre-select the last selected platform. It removes one click on your end and doesn’t burden the user down the line
Pre-selected would also be one way to do it, or maybe right click on the game to change your default or something, I'd just rather have it remember how I launch the game if possible.
+1 I feel this is a good idea,
similar to setting a game as "default game" it should skip asking which install you are trying to mod if you ask it to remember
