[BUG] - Lethal Company fails to launch on Nobara Linux

Open iAmWayward opened this issue 2 years ago • 0 comments

Describe the bug I want to play some Lethal Company modded. I downloaded the r2modman appimage, and ran it without much trouble. I configuring it with my desired mods for Lethal Company, which went fine from what I can gather. However, I can't get the game to start on either vanilla or modded through the modman client. I sought a solution by searching for a Linux executable file that might be parallel to the windows exe found in the Lethal Company game folder (which I must select for the game location), but I could not find any such thing. I just see a loading bar for an instant from steam saying Updating Steam / Verifying Installation. Launching the game normally from the steam library works fine.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. sudo r2modman --no-sandbox . a. data folder /root/.config/r2modmanPlus-local b. profile folder /root/.config/r2modmanPlus-local c. game executable /home/billybob/Games/Steam/steamapps/common/Lethal Company (secondary steam library folder) d. steam directory (executable) /home/billybob/.local/share/Steam/steam.sh

  2. Launch Lethal Company Vanilla or Modded

  3. Game fails to launch, no log file generated

Expected behavior Lethal Company would launch via the client
