Even so, the function to open .HEIC files should be working because the preview version is newer than the stable version.
The version you're using is scripted by another user. Check https://github.com/easymodo/qimgv/issues/535#issuecomment-2413179567 If you want it fixed, you should reach out to that individual.

THE VERSION qimgv_v1.0.3-alpha-131 IS AVAILABLE IN THE REPOSITORY FOR DOWNLOAD AND IT IS THIS VERSION THAT I REFERRED TO IN MY COMPLAINT BECAUSE DO YOU THINK I MENTIONED THE VERSION IN THE TITLE OF THE COMPLAINT? you obviously appreciate the software since you use it so just chill and consider talking to the community with calm, respect and patience
yes the last release available is qimgv_v1.0.3-alpha-131-ga4d475fa-ucrt-avx.7z
if the software doesn't match all your need just ask calmly, nobody owes you anything (it seems it has to be said sadly) and use another software in the meantime
also sometime test (alpha) versions broke things up so have you tried with 1.0.2 or 1.0.3-alpha-128 instead

This section is for reporting BUGS and "politely asking" for a feature you're interested in - this being free software done in free time by 1 dev. Definitely not outrageously toxic and throwing tantrums - as if you paid for something and got nothing. Again, nobody has such right in a platform with rules. If anything, that could discourage/convince the dev in NEVER adding such feature - just cause some jerk like you demanded that of him and in the most toxic way possible.

If you're experiencing bugs, it's recommended you use the official release version. Since you seem unaware, i'd like to inform you that alpha/beta versions are released for testing and will contain bugs. I recommend you try the official release version of 1.0.2, as HEIC will work on that version. Hope this helps.
