Distorted playback of portrait mode videos

I discovered qimgv a few days ago and absolutely love it. I had been looking for a thumbnail/image viewer that can show images and videos alternatingly for a long time. Thanks a lot for this!

There is just one issue: In portrait mode videos (MOV from iPhone in my case) the lower half is always just lines, while the upper half shows the full video squashed to half of its height. I tried directing qimgv to different versions of mpv and mpv.net, but the issue is always there. Those players play the clips normally when not started my qimgv. So I suspect the problem must somehow lie in how qimgv addresses those players. If this could be fixes, that would be really fantastic.
