batch rotation removes exif data

I am using qimgv 1.0.2 in fedora 35, packaged by fedora. I noticed that when rotate a single image or a set of them using ctrl+l, all exif data is removed from each image.

I am using 1.0.2 in W10 and I noticed the same issue (exif data being removed) after cropping images.

I also happened with 1.0.1 but I cannot recall having the same issue on previous versions.
