Extraction for different types of result

We have implemented result extraction in the components and since PR #367 it is done on a more global scale (from pit to the result tables). However, it might make sense to only extract exactly the results we need, which could sometimes be more than what we currently do, sometimes maybe even less. It would be nice if the user could somehow extract specific results in a rather simple way, but I didn't find a good solution for that yet.
