Have fewer time elements when a longer countdown is running

For example, if the user is counting down 500 days, consider showing only the number of days remaining (or perhaps the number of days and the number of hours) until we get down to the last 24-48 hours (or something like that), rather than always showing the number of days, hours, minutes, and seconds.

This would be nice.

I use a timer for pomodoros that I like to keep always-on-top so I don't forget about it. But the constant updates for "seconds" is distracting.
