Default app in xdg desktop: nautilus etc.

All mime-types are regularly registered, but testing on ubuntu 11.10 shows that clicking on a Tomb in nautilus doesn't starts the tomb-open program. This used to work before. Is this broken only on latest ubuntu? what has changed?
