🚂 🏔 IRL Ticket to Ride: webpaige migrations

Winter 2021 - 2022

Hello, stranger!

This winter, I'll be traveling around the United States, taking advantage of Amtrak's very reasonably priced $499 Rail Pass. With this pass, each intrepid explorer has the ability to book 10 one-way rail trips around the United States during a 30 day period. Adventures abound!

The Plan:

From December 12th through February 4th, I'll be sprinting through the following cities:

Date(s) City Train Route Notebook
December 12 - 13 Portland, OR Amtrak Cascades 📔
December 14 - 16 San Francisco, CA Coast Starlight
Capitol Corridor
December 17 - 19 Glenwood Springs, CO California Zephyr
December 20 Chicago, IL California Zephyr
December 21 - 23 Boston, MA Lake Shore Limited
December 23 - 26 Brooklyn, NY Northeast Regional Train
December 27 - 29 Atlanta, GA Crescent Train
December 31 New Orleans, LA Crescent Train
January 2 - 4 San Antonio, TX Sunset Limited
January 6 - 7 Los Angeles, CA Sunset Limited
January 8 Flagstaff, AZ Sunset Limited
January 11 Washington, D.C. Capitol Limited
January 12 Boston, MA Northeast Regional Train
January 13 Brunswick, ME Downeaster
January 14 Chicago, IL Lake Shore Limited
January 16 Detroit, MI Wolverine
January 17 - 18 Chicago, IL Lake Shore Limited
January 19 Memphis, TN City of New Orleans
January 21 - 22 Chicago, IL Texas Eagle
January 23 - 24 Whitefish, MT Empire Builder
January 24 - 25 Leavenworth, WA Empire Builder
January 29 - February 4 Pacific Grove, CA Coast Starlight
February 4 - 7 San Luis Obispo, CA Pacific Surfliner
February 8 - 12 Brooklyn, NY ✈️ 🤗
Feburary 17 - 20 San Francisco, CA Pacific Surfliner
February 21 - March ? Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA Coast Starlight

The Plan (at least, as of today)

There will almost certainly be snags, delays, and poor weather along the way - and I'll be documenting everything. Each one of these cities has amazing culture, friends to visit, and family to hug - not to mention great food and coffee. I can't wait to share my experiences with you, and to take in, first-hand, everything that the United States has to offer.

Stay tuned, and please send me recommendations for stops! They're always appreciated. 🤗
