How does neofetch work? I'm building a Linux distro and I want to know how neofetch checks the distro's information

Hey, I'm building a Linux distro based on Ubuntu and I'm having some difficulties editing the distro information. I have edited the /etc/os-release, /etc/lsb-release, /etc/issue, and /etc/issue.net files, but neofetch still prints the information of Ubuntu.

I'm looking up a lot of Linux distros. If they are not supported by neofetch, neofetch will print the Tux logo. What should I do or edit?
