Only works in very limited scope in Android

I have 4-5 notes open in Android and constantly switch between them. When Obsidian is active, the cursor position is saved and I get the last used position for each note. However, when I switch to another app and come back to Obsidian later, only the last 'active' note in use will have the cursor position saved. When I go to another note, it puts me back to the beginning of the note.

Even worse, if I quit Obsidian or reboot the device, even the position of the last active note will be lost and I will find myself back at the beginning. So the scope of remembering seems to be limited to the current active note opened in Obsidian and it will not survive an Obsidian exit or device reboot.
