Research Form Patterns

Effort:

In release 22.2 we are planning to start covering patterns for form design (since most of the form components are going to be reviewed before) although we are aware that responsive behaviors can increase the amount of research and documentation other patterns, we do not have a clear timeline about when we could start.

• Research the current application ecosystem.
• Identify and document new form patterns across (Until now we have defined regular, accordion, and multistep forms).
• Update the documentation draft example with the new components.
• Define clear guidelines for hierarchy, spacing, position, heading usage, etc... *Discuss the way the guidelines will be implemented (if necessary).

Impact:

Product teams: Have a set of guidelines providing guidance about how to create forms that meet user expectations and are aligned with the rest of the application ecosystem. Reduce the time that teams expend designing forms by providing “tested” solutions that can be reused.
