Process handbook structure

The handbook, arguably the most useful resource in the entire business, is getting a bit unwieldy and could do with some structure.

I'll make some suggestions below, then update this comment with tasks.

Currently...

  • The main repo readme is actually our Scrum Master 🏉 process - could this be part of a wider project management document? @iteles
  • Finances.md is a mammoth 🐘 , covering everything from invoicing clients to corporation tax. It really could do with being broken up
  • Holidays.md could happily sit in a wider HR folder
  • Incoming invoices would probably sit better next to the payable invoices process
  • Google design sprint
  • Legals
  • Reports
  • Personas

My suggestion is that we make folders and populate as follows:

  • Finances
    • Accounting
      • Bookkeeping
      • Reports
      • Refunds etc.
    • Tax
      • VAT return
      • Corporation tax
      • R&D credits (coming soon)
    • Invoicing
      • Receivable
      • Payable
      • Billable expenses (coming soon)
    • General
      • International Payments
      • Legals
      • Budgeting
      • Forecasting
  • Our People (HR)
    • Holidays
    • Payroll
  • Development & Design
    • Scrum Mastery
    • Design sprints
    • Personas

Everything in the "process handbook" repository should have been in "HQ". I regret not making that clearer. 😞
