Can we list the types of clients we want to attract?

Companies that provide a net social good.

I met the founder of https://www.crowdjustice.co.uk/ yesterday. I would like to add that company to the list.

Almost any company that has a reasonable chance of threatening any of the existing financial services monopolies.

Mental health and wellbeing is another area that interests me.

Also, of course, anything that supports collaborative learning and work environments :-)

bit of an addition to @sofer's mental health and wellbeing - something involved in mindfulness and meditation is interesting e.g. https://www.headspace.com/

I'm a big fan of sport too... and BBC sport did look cool! (not sure if they're providing a net social good though!)

@benjaminlees Could you also tell us why those two companies? (nothing long required!)

Anything to do with free education too - I  duolingo, sadly I don't think they have jobs in the UK.

hdrdavies avatar Nov 06 '15 11:11 hdrdavies

@hdrdavies We were thinking along the lines of people we might approach as clients rather than having jobs available, but 'anything to do with free education' is ace :star:

Thanks for the contributions!

iteles avatar Nov 06 '15 11:11 iteles

@RachBLondon Some real 'do gooder' organisations there  :+1:

Of course, my mistake!

What about businesses in Bethnal Green? It would be good to contribute to the local community. (or another area if we move).

hdrdavies avatar Nov 11 '15 17:11 hdrdavies

@hdrdavies Agree that helping our local community should be on our list. Matching this up with our values on the types of companies we'd like to work with will be a worthwhile exercise to see if there are any business in our area we feel we can add value to :+1:

Ultimately, the plan is to allow people to work from anywhere so there may be less of a sense of 'local', but contributing to the community in general is :ok_hand:
