Doesnt work at all?

So I have a sever with both ports 5005 and 9999 open plus two clients on different networks (Restric Nat). When I run the client/server programs (tried both udp/tcp) neither seem to be able to communicate. Yet netcat works fine on there ports. How do I fix this?

I have the same problem, when I take netstat I see the both client have sent syn to each other but didn't receive answer from other one. did you find any solution or another program that work correctly? I'm realy stock in this situation!

I ended up using tor as a short term solution, and Ill probably use upnp later.
