Categories not imported correctly - (multiroot) categories not selected nor detected...

Hi there, using v0.7.23-git and On the fly category creator/importer v0.2.5

This is my categories entry: "[Root]/Cat1/Child Cat 2/Child Cat 3::1"

on creating or updating, products only get the Root selected (with "all categories in tree" selected)... not the children... when having selected "only last category of each branch", no category is selected or created...

The Store Structure is this:

Main Website

  • Store 1 (Category Root 1) -- language 1 -- language 2
  • Store 2 (Category Root 2)
  • language 1

And I want to import to Category Root 2

Also when I add the store scope it doesn't use Category Root 2 Basically, when I don't use the square brackets, the category path is created under Store 1 root even if I used Store 2 in the import file...

What am I doing wrong or what am I missing?

OK, what I found is that the wiki docs are posting wrong... They state that there has to be a "/" after the Root category in brackets which doesn't work. When not using that / after the [Root], it works well. So, that should be corrected ;)... here: http://wiki.magmi.org/index.php?title=On_the_fly_category_creator/importer

Hm, not really well working: Category root is still being well detected, but there is a new first level category created...: %RP:14%Category Level 1

That %RP:14% is new and has not been in the import file ;)... and it's not using the already existing "Category Level 1"...

Any ideas?

Hm, can it be that the category name "Produkte" can not be used as first level category??? With any other category name it works great as it seems...

If you specify a [root_category] in your csv but you don't add a /subcategory after, it will automatically add and create a subcategory with a name %RP:14% .

As a workaround you disable the category in front-end or manually remove the products from the category or delete the category after the import.
