Bug (or Feature?) - Right Clicking on "arrow" makes "line" transparent

I find myself naturally right clicking the always visible "arrow" menu bar icon to access preferences. However this does not produce a pop-up menu but instead expands the hidden menu bars and toggles the "line" menu bars visibility.

I find this behaviour very confusing but I'm not sure if its a bug or a feature.

I'd love it if it were possible to just right click ether "line" or "arrow" to access preferences.

You can right click the line to access preferences.

Being able to hide the "line" is a must, as it does not need to be visible once its places where its wanted. Otherwise it adds an unnecessary icon to the bar, which extends the menu.

Sidenote: the ability to hide the "line" is the only reason, personally, I use Hidden over other apps that hide menubar icons.
