I see a script folder, with some scripts. Are these triggered by anything within Podget? I had a look at the source and didn't see anything relevant?

Or are they simply standalone scripts which may be useful to be run in conjunction with (but separately from) podget?

Those scripts are not directly triggered by anything in Podget. Those are standalone scripts that have been submitted by users to scratch a particular itch they had. They are included to inspire others and to share what others have done with it. We might have a case of needing a little more or clearer documentation.
