It looks like this could be related to this issue posted in the FlutterFlow GitHub - https://github.com/FlutterFlow/flutterflow-issues/issues/2749 - I was able to fix my issue with the useLegacy:true workaround.

I also am seeing the same error in TestFlight builds on version 3.8.6
