Importing used seed phrase causes strange behaviour

Open Duskanor opened this issue 2 years ago • 0 comments

Describe the bug I created my itn seedphrase on the windows CLI and saved the seedphrase. I set up the node, staked succesfully and everything was chugging along smoothly. Then the chain stopped and I couldn't get it working again. I destroyed the node and reinstalled a fresh one as described in the guide released this week. Imported seedphrase but I got a different adress. I can tell because I still have the original windows wallet. One starts with 4D and the other with 4c. I am 100% certain I imported the right seed phrase. I am not 100% certain that there were no spaces where there should be no spaces.

In my wallet I now do not see how much Dusk I have, despite it being synched to over 50k blocks. I can not see my amount staked either. It is not a well functioning wallet for me on the node as it is now.

To Reproduce I would imagine importing any old seedphrase into a new node should do the trick. I can share my seedphrase or node access for logging, i have no problems with this for the testnet phase.

Expected behaviour I expected the wallet to behave like the windows wallet, this was nice for me to use.

Logs/Screenshot Do not know where to get appropriate logging. image Screenshot added of how my wallet looks like after opening.
