Microphone Input
Can scream be made to take in microphone input from the "receiver"?
I know this feature isn't in scream yet, but are there any plans to support this in the future?
I'm using the dual sound card setup for audio input in my VM currently, but I have only one microphone so I have to use an audio splitter. However it proves to be extremely painful to deal with the noises and electrical interference around trying to split an analog signal. It would really be nice if we could do this at software level which would have much less noise issues since it's digital.
I could help with implementing this, but I am not sure where to look at first, if we could have some simple plans/roadmaps on how to implement this feature I might be able to start on it, thanks!
Me too on this suggestion, making a raspberry pi based gaming headset Windows PC out to RPi should work but I need mic input from RPi to show up in windows !
Me too. Want to build a receiver with Raspberry Pi since Windows doesn't really support LDAC or apt-X, but also need microphone input for communicating.
Is there any workaround could make microphone input to Windows from the receiver?
Scream might be replacing VBAN as my solution to sending audio from my Windows machine to a Raspberry Pi. I haven’t used it in the other direction, but I think it can work bidirectionally when setup that way. Voicemeeter Banana is Windows donationware with VBAN built in and there is an open source Linux implementation of VBAN on GitHub. Might work for some of these use cases. Voicemeeter in particular offers some very powerful Windows audio routing.
Bumping. This would be very useful for me too.
